Market Statistics for Greater Baton Rouge Home Sales

The Greater Baton Rouge Board of Realtors (GBRAR) released a full sales report for the month of May. Included in the report are statistics on new listings, pending sales, closed sales, days on the market, median and average sales prices, percent of list price received, house affordability index, inventory of homes for sale, and months supply of inventory. Below are some tidbits and the full report:

  • Days on the market increased from 55 days to 66 days from May 2017 to May 2018
  • Median sales price rose to $200,000 compared to $186,000 of May of last year
  • The average sales price was $230,980 this May, up from $220,505 last May

According to Independent, the first livable concrete houses of its kind will be built in the city of Eindhoven later this year.
